Peoples’ Friendship University of Russia named after Patrice LumumbaThe first International Youth Forum «Russia-Asia: Human Resources Potential of the Nuclear Industry of the Region» will be held on March 18, 2025 at the Peoples' Friendship University of Russia named after Patrice Lumumba with the support of Rosatom State Corporation and participation of ROSATOM partner universities.
Traditionally, in order to popularize and promote Russian nuclear education in Rosatom's partner countries, to enhance both interest and credibility in nuclear technologies as an integral component of creating a sustainable future and developing the national economy of each country, the Forum «Russia-Africa: Nuclear Education – Potential for Successful Regional Development» has been held since 2020 (ru-africa.ru). Great interest among young scientists, university community was also seen in the forum «Russia-Latin America: Dialogue of Future Leaders in the Nuclear Industry of the Region» (ru-latamerica.ru) held in 2024.
The Forum welcomes representatives of international organizations, Asian diplomatic missions in the Russian Federation, state authorities, as well as academic community, business and non-governmental Russian and regional institutions.
The Forum program includes the Plenary Session (working languages are Russian, English), sections on Energy and Non-Energy Application of Nuclear Technologies: «Nuclear Reactors», «Radiation Safety», «Agrotechnologies», «Ecology», «Nuclear Medicine», «Industrial Partnership» (working language of the sections is English), as well as the sections «Youth and Public Movements and Organizations» and «Graduates’ contribution to the development of the region» (working language of the sections is Russian).
The sections will be moderated by relevant experts - representatives of the leading ROSATOM partner universities, such as National Research Nuclear University MEPhI, Tomsk Polytechnic University, Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University, National University of Science and Technology and Peoples' Friendship University of Russia named after Patrice Lumumba; young scientists, PhD students and representatives of the business industry and the academic community will participate as speakers in the sections.
The materials of the Forum will be published in a collection of articles indexed by Russian Science Citation Index.
